BRAZES ALUMINUM & MAGNESIUM ALLOYS

HTS-2000 is a fluxless low-heat brazing rod for most nonferrous metals. This includes cast aluminum and magnesium. HTS-2000 will join all aluminum alloys, including those that are not successfully joined by high-temperature brazing. When drawn over heated aluminum, HTS 2000 penetrates the aluminum oxide affecting a chemical bond that is stronger than the original commercial aluminum. The electrode potential between HTS-2000 and aluminum is so slight that electrochemical corrosion is not a problem. The HTS-2000 joints will last permanently in normal or protected environments and have lasted 10 years or longer in severe conditions.

HTS  2000 joints were evaluated as permanent, corrosion resistant, and stronger than joints made with other brazes tested.
