An electrician is required to conduct a load-test to ensure your decision is based on your needed amperage per phase.
Generators are designed to run at 80% of maximum output at sea level and in neutral climates. Altitude and temperature can reduce engine efficiency.
Limitations of Use:
- Do not use more than 50% of your generator’s rated load for the first step load.
- Do not use more than 75% of the rated load for continuous running.
These limitations help accommodate power spikes and drops that occur during combustion.
